Ambulance Service

Patient care ambulances include Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances. This kind of ambulance is set up to treat people on the way. There are two kinds of ambulances that take care of patients:

Class B Patient Care Ambulances: These are made to give basic life support (BLS). This is a type of ambulance transport that tries to give the patient their first health care. The staff must have at least a driver with a certificate for professional ambulance transport and either an assistant, a nurse, or a doctor.

Class C Patient Care Ambulances: These are called Mobile ICU Ambulances, and they are made to give the patient an Advanced Life Support (ALS). This type of ambulance needs to have at least a nurse, a doctor, and a driver with a professional ambulance transport certificate.

Class B ambulances are ready to give basic life support (BLS) while on the way to a hospital or medical centre to take a non-critical patient. This kind of ambulance has the right supplies to clean up and help in case of an emergency while on the way.

They usually move patients who are stable and not in danger of dying, but who may need constant attention from medical staff and basic care while being moved.
